Armistead Gray

Armistead Gray, a Black man, was executed at Powhatan Court-house in Virginia on June 9, 1882, according to a brief newspaper roundup published in the St. Landry Democrat. A separate report in The Panola Weekly Star from June 17, 1882, also records an execution at Powhatan Court-house in the same column as an execution at Brownsville.
