Aris
Aris was a soccer player and a sports management major at Radford University, known to friends as quick-footed, quick-witted and well-liked. He had a twin sister, Ariela, and a mother, Dixiana Perez, who had urged him to go to college. On the night of September 12, 2019, he was held at the New River Valley Regional Jail after a campus incident, and guards found him unresponsive in his cell the next morning. His family and two student witnesses question why he was not taken to a medical facility, while the university says there were no signs of medical distress. State police are investigating, and toxicology results were still pending more than a month later.
