Andrew Joseph Davis
Andrew Joseph Davis, 27, was held at the Lee County jail in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, he was found unconscious in his cell in early July 2025 after other people held there reported a problem, and sheriff's deputies and EMS tried to revive him before he was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital. A second report, from WPEC, says a man at the jail was found unresponsive on July 4, and that corrections officers used Narcan and an automated external defibrillator to restore his pulse before he was taken to a hospital, where he died on July 6. The sheriff's office has said the cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results and opened a major crimes inquiry.
